So I’m finally getting round to doing a post on Tamboers Winkel which a tiny little deli/eatery just off Kloof Street. Walking in, you’d think you were stepping into a old fashioned farm kitchen. Rustic wooden furniture and vintage odds and ends create a warm and cosy atmosphere with that old world feel. You’ll find free range rotisserie chickens and eggs, a selection of cold meats, cheeses and salads as well as wine and beer. You can pop in and pick up a fresh loaf of bread and a Deluxe coffee or enjoy a tasty sandwich or breakfast. Definitely another great local gem, so make a note to visit when you’re next in Tamboerskloof.
