One the highlights of my week in Sevilla was a visit to the Real Alcázar which is one of the oldest palaces in the world. Originally founded as a fort for the Cordoban governors, the Alcázar has been expanded and added to many times in its 11 centuries of existence. It is an eclectic mix of styles with Muslim, Christian and Gothic influences.
My photos absolutely don’t do this amazing World Heritage Site any justice but they will give you idea of what to expect. The palace is really awe inspiring and will have you gazing up the ceilings in wonder. You’ll find incredible, intricate tiling throughout and a huge, magical garden to explore as well.
