Company's Garden
When last did you visit The Company’s Garden? I think us Capetonians often forget about this lush oasis right in the heart of our city. This past weekend was an absolute scorcher and so to escape the summer heat we headed down to the garden to enjoy the shade and have breakfast at The Company’s Garden restaurant. The restaurant is casual and unassuming and has a large outdoor section. They also have a fantastic play area for kids with giant nests and wooden sculptures which can be enjoyed by diners as well as general visitors to the park.

After a delicious brekkie, we wandered around the garden and then checked out the new farmer’s market. But more about that tomorrow! A trip to the garden is definitely worthwhile so do visit soon.

Hi Lana – I was there at the beginning of November . The upgrade is fantastic and your images tell the story very nicely. I so enjoyed it. It is so long overdue. Plus the breakfast was delicious . I fancy a substantial breakfast and this is one of the first that I felt that I could not finish ( although I did). Seems however I missed the herb garden. By the looks of it, this has replaced the old rose garden??

      Hi Rose,
Yes, it’s such an improvement isn’t it?
The old rose garden is actually still there. The rose garden is on one side of the path and then the lovely new veggie & herb garden is directly opposite it. If only my veggie garden looked like theirs 😉
