I’m back home in Cape Town after two absolutely amazing weeks in Turkey. We had a fantastic trip and explored Istanbul and some of the coastal villages near Bodrum. I’m already missing the delicious Turkish meals, sunshine and friendly, generous people that we met. Of course I have plenty of photos and tips which I’ll be sharing soon, so keep any eye out for those posts!

Hi Lana, I am so glad I came across your post and photos of Turkey!! A friend and I are planning a trip there in September this year. First of all did you go with a tour group or did you do the tours on your own? Which hotel did you stay in when you were in Karakoy? Did you fly to Bodrum and just book your own accommodation when you were there or how did you go about planning it? I am interested in knowing so that I can arrange the booking asap as I am still doing some research. We also intend going for 2 weeks. Any recommendations/advice will be greatly appreciated as this will be our first time visiting there. Can you walk from the Galata Area to the Spice Bazaar and Hagia Sophia? What activities are there for night time in Karakoy? I love all your photos and now I am even more ecstatic about this trip 🙂 Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks and kind regards,
Nicky
