I wanted to share some inspiration about how to decorate your home for Christmas for all of us living in the Southern Hemisphere where we don’t have snow or fir trees. Trying to finding such a thing online is like looking for a needle in a haystack, all I came across was the traditional red and green and plenty of winter Scandi settings. Then whilst I was browsing Instagram this weekend I came across Stacey’s home and it ticked all of the boxes. Although Stacey lives in North Carolina, her Jamaican roots are clear and her interior style is bold, distinctive and full of colour. It’s a look that I think we can identify with here in SA and I love her simple Christmas styling touches that are so easy to achieve.
A strand of pom poms adds instant cheer. Add fairy lights to doorways and top your pot plant holders with christmas decorations for a playful element.
Paper honeycomb balls are also a great way to add instant colour and a festive feel.
Paint the ends of your wood in colourful hues and add to your display and don’t forget to deck the mantelpiece. If you can’t find lovely colourful candles, get spray painting – you can even create fun ombre or dip-dye effects.
Be sure to follow Stacey on Instagram for plenty of bold colour and interior inspiration. These are just a few images of her gorgeous Jungalow style home to give you an idea. Happy summer decorating!
