There’s so much happening in around Cape Town this weekend especially for all you music and wine lovers.

On Saturday, there’s the Love & Light Party at Nelson’s Wine Estate in Paarl and Diskotekah Vogue Afrika Alternative party at Deuce Bar. On Sunday you can chill out at De Waal park and enjoy Hotwater perform for free or head to Clifton 3rd beach for a Silent Sunset Party. Vergenoegd Wine Estate in Stellenbosch is launching their summer music concert series this Sunday and first up is Arno Carstens.

For the wine lovers, head to Paarl on Saturday and take part in the 10th OmmiBerg ‘Round the Rock’ festival where participating farms will host fun harvest activities for young and old to give visitors a glimpse into the magic of winemaking. White Wine on Tap Festival also takes place on Saturday at the Diemersfontein Estate in Wellington. Enjoy bottomless white wine, accompanied by live music in a perfect garden setting.

If you’re in the city today, why not head over to the Oranjezicht City Farm and pick your own harvest. This takes place on the first Wednesday of every month from 3pm till 6pm. Bring some secateurs or pair of scissors, an empty bag and a donation and happily pick your own organic veggies. If you can’t make it, then be sure to visit their market held at Granger Bay every Saturday morning. 

Other news… if you’re in need of new bedding, then do hop over to Lala Linen. They are having a 50% off sale on their Egyptian Cotton bedding! Brand new to Cape Town, is the Boffi Studio on Hudson Street, just opposite Loading Bay. I went to their opening launch yesterday and swooned over their impeccable Italian designs and fittings.
