6 winning Mother’s Day ideas

Babylonstoren outing
Here are a few last minute ideas for how you can treat your mom this coming Mother’s Day…

Take a day trip to Babylonstoren and spend the day together, enjoying their beautiful garden and magical setting. This is a firm favourite of mine and I never tire of visiting. Babylonstoren is a dedicated stop on the Franschhoek Wine Tram so you can experience the best of the picturesque Franschhoek valley as well (Be sure to hop on the purple line).

Treat your mom to some local foodie treats. The homemade granolas from Simply Granola sound amazing and Musgrave’s Pink Gin is just picture perfect.

Foodie gift ideas
Buy a ticket for yourself and your mom to attend Honest Chocolate’s Bonbon Workshop on the 20th of May.  Join them in their small production kitchen at the Woodstock Exchange for a hands-on chocolate experience.
“You’ll be learning about cacao and chocolate-making, tasting all the different flavours (hard work, we know) and working with the chocolate yourself. At the end, you get to take home a box of bonbons handmade by you!”

Limited Honest Chocolate wrappers Woolworths herbal teas
Create a beautiful tea hamper. Woolworths has a lovely range of herbal teas and their packaging is oh so pretty.

If your mom loves being on trend and experiencing Cape Town’s newest spots, then go for brunch at Lily’s. It’s the latest foodie addition to Mouille Point and with its stylish interior, it makes for a perfect mother’s day outing.
