Chart Farm roses

Chart Farm roses

I paid another trip to Chart Farm on the weekend, a lovely rose farm in Wynberg. The setting is beautiful and it’s always a relaxing outing. There’s something so nostalgic about walking up and down the rows of roses, smelling all the fragrances and carefully deciding which ones to pick. I think it’s because my grandmother always used to have beautiful rose gardens and whenever we used to visit her there would be freshly picked roses in the house. Tip of the day: the roses are half price on Sundays! So pop in on your next free weekend and while you’re there, enjoy some tea and cake at their tea garden!

Looks like a fantastic place to spend a Sunday, Lana. I don't believe I've seen a you-pick rose farm in the States. As always, thank you for sharing your trip to a place I will mostly likely never get to in person! xo

also a favourite spot of mine. I love that the roses actually smell like roses, unlike store bought flowers. But those thorns certainly pack a punch! Thanks

How beautiful Lana! I can smell those wonderful roses all the way to Sydney!

My grand father loved roses and I grew up watching him always stop by the flowerbed of yellow ones near the entrance of my childhood home. Such dear memory and every time I see a yellow rose, I think of him!
