Morning friends, hope you all had a great weekend! Well, it’s another new week and it’s time to launch a new series on my blog! It’s called ‘Uncovered’ and each time I’ll pick a different town, city or perhaps even a popular street and feature my favourite spots and places to go in that area.
It’s really difficult to highlight only a few places especially when there are so many amazing shops and restaurants out there, so the series will not be a full listing but hopefully it will encourage you to get out and explore! Of course this is my blog, so it will be a little subjective and I’ll only be talking about places that I love and that are my kind of style!
So today we kick off with Stellenbosch, one of my favourite places to visit and just under an hour from Cape Town. It’s the second oldest town in South Africa so it’s streets are lined with beautiful old buildings and giant Oak trees. Surrounded by mountains and vineyards, it is incredibly picturesque and there are endless wine farms to explore on it’s outskirts. It’s a very much a student town as the University of Stellenbosch is situated here. So you’ll find a young, vibrant and buzzing atmosphere in this historical town. There is so much to see, I recommend you visit the Stellenbosch Tourist Information Office for more info but carry on reading and you’ll discover all my favorites through out the week!
