Mauritius Part I

Mauritius

Hope you all had a great weekend! I had a lovely, active weekend with plenty of time outdoors. Yes, one of my new year’s resolutions is to get fit! I also finally managed to sort out my holiday photos from our trip to Mauritius, so I thought I’d share some of them with you today and tomorrow. We really enjoyed our time in Mauritius, beautiful beaches (as one would expect), the friendliest people and a diverse and interesting culture. There’s quite a contrast between the super luxurious beach resorts and the local villages where a lot of places are quite run down and very simply built. We didn’t spend too much time at the beach, instead we hired a scooter, braved the narrow roads and crazy taxi drivers and did lots of exploring. A week went by way too quickly!

Mauritius looks amazing! And that is the best way to explore, on your own, with no one dictating where you must go and what you must do! That’s the way we explored Thailand and it was the best adventure ever

Exactly, Megan! I just wish we’d had more time to explore, one week is definitely not enough!

Great photos, at which resort did you stay and would you recommend it? Think it’s time to book a holiday.
