The Kitchen at Weylandts

The Kitchen at Weylandts

I was invited to come and try out the new Summer menu at The Kitchen and so yesterday I decided to escape the city heatwave and welcomed the coolness and peace at the Greenpoint Weylandts.

I ordered the lunch special of the day which was a bacon, brie and caramelised onion sandwich on sourdough even though I’m trying to avoid gluten. When it arrived, I thought, there’s no way I’ll manage to eat it all especially with all that bread but I have to admit I devoured the lot. It was really beyond delicious! My friend tried their Asian chicken salad with mango which was also a winner.

So the next time you decide to do a little interior and homeware shopping at Weylandts, why not schedule it around lunch or tea time. They have a lovely selection of pastries and sweet treats as well as summer smoothies and fantastic coffee.

The Kitchen is now open at the Weylandts Durbanville, Greenpoint and Kramerville stores as well as at Maison in Franschhoek.

What a gorgeous restaurant, Lana! I’m afraid I would have succumbed to the entire sandwich, too. Looks yummy, and your photos are, too.

Hope you have a great weekend. Foggy and rainy here but we are due for some sun.
