So how was your long weekend? We had a lovely family weekend away in Greyton and stayed in a fantastic house near the beginning of the village. Greyton is another one of my favourite villages in the Western Cape with plenty to offer for it’s size. You’ll find a variety of art galleries, quirky shops, coffee shops and restaurants all in walking distance. The village is small which means you can leave your car parked the whole weekend and go everywhere on foot.
Beautiful Victorian cottages, lush green gardens, open fields and roaming cows and horses all add to it’s charming countryside appeal. There are also some great hikes and mountain biking routes so it really is a wonderful spot for a getaway. Here are a few photos to give you an idea of what Greyton is all about…

beautiful photography Lana! We love Greyton – and you’ve captured it so well. We recently did a girl’s weekend there and visited Lismore Wine Estate for a tasting. It’s run pretty much single-handed by a very passionate and determined woman. Great experience. x

Your brilliant eyes – and I mean how you see things – your pictures in Greyton. I have seen that rusty merc in the main road for years but, untill now, never saw how beautiful it is. Somehow it looks optimistic.

Thanks for visiting our town Lana.A brief glimpse of the CBD area in your photo gallery is pleasing to the eye. I can assure you there is more to Greyton than meets the eye.Beyond the city lights it has turned into an amazing place to live.Been here for 17 years and still discovering new things each day. My main attraction to the town is its people.Pleased you liked the town too!
