Yesterday I hurried down to The Parade amidst down pours and rather icy weather to experience the very first Kamers at The Castle of Good Hope. As I’m sure you know, Kamers is a creative pop up event that takes place only a few times a year and is all about showcasing local entrepreneurship and beautifully made wares. Along with great music and good food, the Kamers experience is never one to be missed.
This Kamers is smaller than usual and there are less exhibitors due to space restrictions however the venue more than makes up for this. The Castle is such a beautiful building and it’s wonderful to be able to explore this piece of our Cape heritage. I would encourage you to go with a friend, dress up warm and give yourselves enough time to fully explore. The views of the mountain and city are amazing from up top.
The event runs until 3pm on Sunday and you can find more info here. Here are a few photos I took, to give you an idea of what to expect. Of course I took loads, so I’ll share the rest tomorrow. Have a great weekend!
