I came home from my trip to find a few nice surprises waiting for me at home… definitely one of the perks of being a blogger! So I got to try out the famous Swedish Rekorderlig Cider for the first time. Rekorderlig is a semi-sweet, refreshing cider made from 100% apples or pears. No syrups or concentrates are involved. Spring water and fruit combinations are added to the apple/pear base to create a rather delicious drink.
Being a cider, the drink is sweet, so I’d definitely recommend serving it over ice. Add some sprigs of mint and lemon for decoration and an extra zest.
These are the three flavours available here in SA:
Wild berries ~ This was my favourite out of the three!
Strawberry Lime ~ Best served over ice with mint leaves or strawberries and a wedge of lime
Pear ~ I found the Pear flavour too sweet for me. Serve over ice with a wedge of zesty lemon or lime
I think we’ll be seeing quite a lot of this cider in the upcoming summer season but I can’t wait to try their Winter Cider with apple, cinnamon and vanilla!
Follow Rekorderlig on facebook or instagram to keep up with their news and find out about new stockists.
