Kamers 2014, Webersburg

Yesterday was the start of Kamers, the fabulous 6 day long pop-up event taking place at the beautiful Webersburg Wine Estate. Webersburg is an elegantly restored Cape Dutch homestead and boutique family run wine estate in Stellenbosch. With incredible views of the Helderberg mountains and lush green lawns, it makes a perfect setting for Kamers.

I was invited to the Kamers media lunch yesterday and got to meet some of the team behind this creative event which was really great. We got to enjoy a fabulous lunch paired with delicious Webersburg wines, what a treat, thank you Kamers and Webersburg! From there it was onto the market where I spent a good few hours taking in the beautifully styled stands and amazing products on offer.

Of course some shopping was in order, along with photo taking to give you all an idea of what you can expect. There’s always a great atmosphere at Kamers, with plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the music and sights. So take some time out, grab your bestie and head to Kamers for the day!

Lana – were it not for this totally yummy post which has stirred within me the desire to go to Kamers this year – I would not be entertaining that thought at all. You really have wet my appetite for it. Marica and I were just talking about it yesterday – to do or not to do! We did it 2 years ago, and the crowds put me off. It really makes it quite hard to take in these lovely products when it is a bun fight getting to the stand, let alone being able to browse. My vote this year – just do it. thanks.

Hi Rose, yesterday was a pleasure because there were not many shoppers at all! Apparently the morning was hectic but I think the weather put people off and so when I went in the afternoon, it was lovely and quiet. I could browse and get camera happy, what bliss! The marquees did feel more spacious this year too. More photos on the way tomorrow 😉
