First up Tredici… you’ll spot this impressive looking coffee shop from the N2 which makes it an ideal place to stop and stretch your legs on a road trip along the Garden Route. Tredici is more than just a coffee shop though, you’ll find a bakery, deli and amazing gift selection too all beautifully put together in a large double volume interior.
We also popped into Rain. I’ve blogged about their fabulous bath and body products often but never visited their signature Swellendam shop. Light and airy and filled with heavenly scents, this is another must. If you have time, book yourself a Rain spa treatment.
Next up was a trip to The Cheese Shop which is just 2km outside of Swellendam on the R60. They have a huge variety of amazing local cheeses and you can taste them all. With super affordable prices you’ll be tempted to leave with an armload of cheese!
Another interesting pit-stop is Wildebraam Berry Estate where you can do a liqueur tasting and sample their ten liqueurs. My favourites were the lemon and hazelnut flavours, so tasty!
If you’re looking for accommodation in Swellendam I recommend Augusta de Mist or Jan Harmsgat Country House just outside the town. Lastly, if you’re looking more Swellendam tips then be sure to check out The Good Life in Swellendam, a brilliant local blog. Happy exploring!
