I have this thing with rugs

Adding a rug to your interior can make such a difference and absolutely transform a space. It’s worthwhile spending that little extra and buying a piece that will last. Choosing the right style and size is an art but luckily we have a great selection of rug suppliers in Cape Town. Some of the showrooms will let you take the rugs on appro to test them out which is useful.

Coral & Hive is a fairly new company with a showroom in Somerset West. I haven’t visited yet but have been so impressed with the rugs they’ve been sharing on their Instagram feed. They specialise in bespoke handwoven rugs which are locally made and they also import beautiful rugs from Armadillo&Co.

Klooftique currently has some stunning rugs in store. The rugs have an oriental feel with distressed patches which creates an interesting effect.

Herringbone in Hout Bay has a large collection of beautiful rugs. I’m mad about their Moroccan inspired Berber rugs and they’ve recently started representing Pampa who produce amazing rugs made in Argentina. You can also try Superbalist and Airloom for more affordable options.
