After our gin tasting at Inverroche, we were all in need of a bite to eat and luckily for us there was a charming restaurant right next door. The Press Room Café is nestled in amongst the olive groves on the Olyven Houdt Olive Farm and instantly gives you a feeling that you’ve stumbled into a slice of Provence.
The café is is situated in a lovely stone building with an old world feel and a fireplace for chilly days. We tucked into their Cheese and Meat platter which was definitely one of the best we’ve ever had! The outdoor area wasn’t set up as it was raining but I can imagine it would be stunning in summer for a long lazy lunch.
Spontaneously discovering gems like these and ones that are slightly off the beaten track is what makes road trips such fun. So if you are ever in the Stilbaai area, be sure to pop in!
