Next week I’ll be joining the lovely Annie Wyatt on her next This is a detox for both the body and mind and allows you to recharge your mental and physical health. I’ve never done a proper detox before so this is a real first for me and I’m so looking forward to it.
The retreat will include daily hikes, yoga and pilates and most importantly freshly squeezed juices and nutritious veggie broths. I’ll be sharing all the behind the scenes on my Instagram stories so keep an eye out for that.
Today I want to share some tips on how to prepare for a Juice Detox as preparation is key.
7 days to go:
For best results stop drinking alcohol at least 7 days before.
5 days to go:
Try to eat light meals of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Say hello to salads, soups, smoothies with a variety of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, natural nut butters, beans and legumes.
3 days to go:
Say goodbye to coffee to diminish detoxification headaches. The longer you stop drinking coffee the more well you will feel during the detox.
Initially you can replace coffee with ceylon tea or green tea and thereafter with herbal tea.
Drink plenty of water and take it easy.
