A typically sizzling-hot Karoo day sent me in search of coolness and I eagerly dived into the Prince Albert Gallery. I was thrilled to find a much larger gallery than I had anticipated, filled to the brim with exceptional local art. I loved the diverse selection and variety of art on display.
You’ll find the gallery on the main road just opposite the Prince Albert museum, it’s easy to spot with its vibrant elephant graffiti.
This coming June, Prince Albert’s artists will be opening their studios to the public again. Blue A-frame boards pop up all around the town, marking the home studios of around 30 artists, offering visitors a feast of visual delights.
The Prince Albert Open Studios will be taking place from 16 – 19 June. For further info and workshop details, visit the website here.
