If bird song, rustic simplicity and being surrounded by nature makes your heart sing, then this charming wooden Airbnb is a must for your Garden Route travels.
This tiny wooden cabin is located in Wilderness Heights with majestic views of the Outeniqua mountain range, guaranteeing the last of the light and beautiful sunsets. From here it’s a quick 5 min drive down to the village hub and to the beach making the location perfect if you’re needing nature and quiet but still within easy access.
The cabin is made with reclaimed doors and windows, decorated with authentic personal touches, and has everything you need for a cosy getaway. I loved the writing desk which made me feel as though I was on a creative writing retreat ~ if only I could have stayed for longer! Being tucked away and completely surrounded by nature provided endless beauty and inspiration.
An outdoor shower on the deck and compostable toilet with fynbos views added to the appeal. The cabin is off the grid and eco friendly, ensuring no load shedding. You’ll hear roosters in the morning and the sounds of birds all day long, it truly is a little piece of magic.
