De Vrede Cottage is a gorgeous self catering house in the heart of McGregor. With wooden internal shutters and thatched roof, the cottage has retained its original character and is the epitome of McGregor charm. The ambiance is relaxed and warm with so many lovely personal touches.
 

Afternoon sunshine streams in and calls for feet up and a good book, plus there’s a fabulous sheltered stoep ideal for al fresco dining, star gazing and further unwinding.
 

De Vrede is situated on a quiet road right in the heart of the village. Just a short 5min walk and you’ll find yourself at 51 for the best coffee and breakfast and you can stock up on pantry and deli goods next door at Made in McGregor. Dani’s Gallery is directly opposite the cottage, so pop in over the weekend for a chat and to browse the current exhibition.
 

I recently spent three nights here and can highly recommend this country style gem.
