Say hello to rest, quiet and nature on tap! Moonshine on Whiskey Creek is a rather magical forest getaway in The Crags, along The Garden Route. If you’re a nature lover, you’ll want to pack your bags and book your stay.
 
They have five self-catering forest cabins and one cottage. I stayed in Bushpig Cabin which felt like a cosy and welcoming haven, especially in the thunderstorm and hail on night one. Waking up to a view of endless green and indigenous forest was an absolute treat. Only to be topped with a pair of Knysna Loeries that came to visit and swoop between the trees.
 
I enjoyed the simplicity and rustic ambiance of the cabin which invites spaciousness and a sense of peace for me. There is a beautiful forest walk down to the river, as well as a swimming pool for summer days.
 
Moonshine on Whiskey Creek is situated in a great location for exploring the area. Just 14km from Plettenberg Bay and 17km from Nature’s Valley beach makes it ideal for getting around.
