So as promised, here are the photos from our wine tasting at Ataraxia Wine Estate which is situated on the Hemel en Aarde Road just outside Hermanus. Being winter here, all the vines were bare and there were huge clouds overhead but it actually created a lovely and rather dramatic setting. Ataraxia’s tasting room, The Wine Lounge, is built as a chapel and has the most incredible views. We tasted their four wines, an unwooded Sauvignon Blanc, a wooded Chardonnay, a red blend and a Pinot noir. The chardonnay was the winner for me, absolutely delicious!

And these one week old piglets were just too cute not to share!

I kind of like this dramatic setting with bare vines and cloudy sky. Beautiful place, Lana! xo

The post I was waiting for and yet I missed it somehow!
How interesting that they built the place as a chapel. It looks beautiful and the surroundings too. The pigs are too cute.

I agree, it is unusual but it definitely makes it unique and stand out from the other wine farms.
