We finally made it to The Pot Luck Club for dinner earlier this week and wow, what a fabulous experience! You’ll find The Pot Luck Club on the 6th floor of an old silo at The Old Biscuit Mill. With wrap around windows, one has the most amazing views of the city from Table Mountain to the harbour.
The space is really impressive with just the right amount of industrial edge. A quirky selection of hanging lights adds warmth and ambiance. The cuisine is creative and absolutely delicious and served tapas style.
You’re encouraged to order about 3 tapas each and share with everyone at your table. I loved the fact that you weren’t quite sure what to expect, so every dish was a surprise. The dishes are brought out at different times, so you get to savour and enjoy the tastes individually. The food is beautifully presented of course, do hop over to their website and look at the food gallery!
They do two sittings per evening and are always busy so make sure you book well in advance. I would actually recommend going for lunch to appreciate the views or the early 6pm sitting to enjoy the sunset. Our bill was a fairly high so this is certainly not going to become a weekly event however it’s a dining experience not to be missed.
