A while ago we had an amazing weekend getaway in the Hemel and Aarde Valley, just outside Hermanus. I took a few photos and promptly forgot that I had done so. Anyway here they are, better late than never!

We stayed at Emett’s Country Cottages in Sunbird Farmhouse which is a double-story house sleeping eight, with a spacious lounge/dining area and 16-seater dining table. The house is perfect for a large family gathering and entertaining. Plus there’s a stunning 16m lap pool and breathtaking views onto the Hemel and Aarde Valley. The peace and quiet and natural beauty are what makes it. From the house, it’s a lovely 20 minute walk to Mogg’s Country Cookhouse which is another must.
