As I’m sure you can see from my posts this week, 4th Avenue in Parkhurst is really quite a happening spot. Safely tucked away in the suburbs, this street has loads to offer and is so much more appealing than any mall. You’ll find everything you need from opticians and beauty salons to interior decorators, specialised kitchenware and toy shops and more.

Today I’m featuring three great gift and decor stores that I spotted. First up is The Windmill which is a light and airy space filled with gorgeous goodies and an emphasis on locally designed goods. They have a really lovely selection of ceramics, very tempting!

Just behind Vovo Telo, you’ll find a tiny shop called Nonna. This cute gift and decor store is jam packed with lovely local products and is the perfect destination when gift hunting.

You’ll find Susan Hughes Interiors towards the end of 4th Avenue situated in a lovely, large house which is the ideal setting to display all of their gifts and decorative objects. Each room is fully styled with gorgeous homeware, wallpaper, curtains and accessories. The glam yet cosy bedroom setting really appealed to me as well as the kitchen which is full of Susan’s favorite Burleighware China. They also offer a full interior design service.

So on your next visit to Joburg, I highly recommend you spend a morning exploring 4th Avenue, happy shopping!
