Last week I visited Boschendal for the very visit time and I’m so glad I finally did. The farm is simply beautiful with so much on offer. Boschendal has undergone quite a transformation over the past year and a bit so if you haven’t visited recently then I highly recommend you do.
The main area around the historic manor house now boasts a gift shop and bakery, a wine tasting room, butchery and a relaxed farm style café & deli all under the shade of mature Oaks. Chickens and Indian Runner ducks roam freely, adding to that authentic farm feeling.
A stroll through their vegetable garden is a total delight and one can buy some of the fresh produce at their farm shop. Looking out onto the beautiful garden is The Werf Restaurant which offers a more fine dining experience with seasonal dishes from renowned chef, Christiaan Campbell. The restaurant’s interior is absolutely gorgeous and a feast for the eyes.
We treated ourselves to lunch at The Werf Restaurant and were so taken with the beautifully plated dishes. I didn’t take nearly enough photos to capture the space and experience so a return visit is definitely on the cards.
