Mark this coming Sunday the 9th of October in your diary for the first national Garden Day SA. This fun initiative encourages you to enjoy your garden (or any other garden) with friends and family. I’m not the best gardener but I absolutely love plants and beautiful gardens. It just so happens that Water Oak Farm in Constantia is having an open garden this weekend so that’s where you’ll find me. Their gardens look incredible, get a sneak peak here.
There are so many beautiful gardens to explore in and around Cape Town. Babylonstoren is a favourite of course and did you know they’ve developed a free gardening app? Boschendal also has a lovely farm garden and rose garden and one I’d still love to visit is Stellenberg (by appointment only). Can you recommend any gardens to visit?
Elgin Open Gardens is happening in a few weeks and Open Gardens Constantia takes place in mid-November. And Ina Paarman’s stunning garden will be open on the 11th & 12th of November, you can book here. So you garden lovers are in for some treats! Be sure to visit my What’s On page to keep updated with what’s happening.
Lastly, for plenty of plantspiration check out The Planthunter. This fabulous Australian blog features plant related articles and amazing garden tours.
