I can’t believe it’s the start of February tomorrow. Here are some events and happenings that you might want to diarise for the month ahead. Visit my What’s On page for the full list.

The Red Bull King of the Air is taking place today at Big Bay. The world’s best extreme kite boarders will be competing for the Red Bull crown, so if you’re in the area get down there for all the action!

This Saturday is the last day for fig picking at Hoogwater Cottage in Wolseley. Join them for a fun filled day. Arrive early to get the best ones.

Well know local forager and fynbos expert, Roushanna Gray, will be hosting a Wild Love Dinner pop-up at the Good Hope Gardens in Cape Point on the 14th of February. Limited to only 14 seats, so book yours right away. Find out more info here.

Other highlights include modern-folk musician, Jeremy Loops, performing at Kirstenbosch on the 5th and Jimmy Nevis at De Waal Park on the 19th of Feb.

The Cape Town Art Fair will be taking place at the CTICC from 17 – 19 Feb.

There are plenty of foodie happenings too: Constantia Fresh Wine & Food FestivalGin & Tonic Festival, Franschhoek Summer Wines & the first ever Saggy Stone Beer & Music Festival.
