Last week I was invited to Embassy Hill in Constantia to experience their venue and fabulous offerings. Encompassed by an expansive garden with rolling lawns and views of the valley and mountain, you couldn’t ask for a better setting. This thatched Cape home has much history, what used to be home to the Hamilton Russell family and then an embassy is now a beautiful venue suited to weddings, unique events and stylish conferences. It’s great to see that its new owners have kept much of its heritage while revamping and adding to its essence.
The venue has a number of different lounges and separate areas, all beautifully decorated with fantastic art on display. There are also four luxurious en-suite bedrooms which can be made use of when hiring the venue. After an interactive tour, we were treated to a fantastic lunch paired with award winning wines from Constantia Glen. I can imagine that a wedding here would be breathtaking and another drawcard is that if you’re based in Cape Town, your guests won’t need to travel far and find overnight accommodation. The Forum Company also has three other iconic venues, hop over here to find out more.
