New trendy eateries in CT

There are a bunch of new eateries and restaurants that have popped up in the city recently. Us Capetonians love to flock to trendy new spots so thought I’d put you in the know! I haven’t been to any of these yet but have heard plenty of good reports. Have you tried any of these spots yet?

Tigers Milk was launched in Muizenberg last year and now has now made it’s way to buzzing Long Street. This restaurant has a real industrial feel with its exposed brickwork and raw lighting. Burgers, pizzas, craft beers, this is one the boys will love. Hop over to Sam’s blog for plenty more enticing photos.

New on Loop Street, everyone is talking about The Village Idiot and booking is apparently a must. The interior looks appealing and cosy with a distinct South African twist. Perfect for a winter’s evening and after work drinks.

DOOR 221
Bree Street welcomes another new hot spot! Door 221 opened a few weeks ago and this cosy bar looks like it’s going to become a firm favourite. Craft beer, tapas style snacks and great tacos!

Jerry’s is new to busy Park Road and if the burgers are as good as the Observatory Jerry’s, then this is sure to be a winner. Another good one for the lads.
