Our end of year vacation began with a few nights in Simon’s Town. Friends often look at us as though we’re crazy when we say we’ve chosen a holiday in Simon’s Town. Well, what I love about this small village is that it’s so close to Cape Town and yet when you arrive, you feel as though you’re somewhere completely different. It has that lovely seaside charm with an old world nostalgia. Beautiful Victorian buildings are abundant and a strong naval history.
Kayaking from the harbour to Boulders Beach and back is always a highlight and then of course there are the penguins and numerous idyllic beaches for swimming. These are just a few snaps from our latest stay… perhaps they’ll tempt you to visit?
