Hello May – What’s on

Meraki Pop Up Sale
There’s quite a lot happening in May! Of course it’s First Thursdays this week.
On Thursday evening you can also hop over to the Meraki Studio on Kloof Street to shop great local design between 5:30 and 9pm. Designers taking part are Meraki Jewellery Design, NH Jewellery, Pernickety Jewellery & Leather, Daphne Accessories, Studio Melissa Louise, Graydawn Clothing and Lulu & Marula.

For the foodies, why not book a dinner at One Star House Party? Or join Arabella Parkinson at Ginger & Lime for a holistic plant-based workshop. Secret Paradise sounds like fun too, taking place this coming Sunday at the Castle of Good Hope.
There is a secret garden that not many discover. It’s an entryway into a different world where dance meets cuisine, culture meets tradition, Argentinian flavours and Latin dance scapes unite and worlds collide to bring you a kaleidoscope of enticing experiences! This is Secret Paradise. Argies has teamed up with Lapo’s Kitchen, No Danger Diaries and Secret Sunrise Cape Town to bring you a unique combination of mindful movement, South American culture, decadent food, live entertainment and Latin music. The stage is set to connect over a feast for body, heart and soul!

This weekend is the Autumn Open Garden at Soil for Life where you can enjoy gardening demonstrations and talks from 9am until 3pm.

Kamers/Makers returns to the Castle of Good Hope from 24 – 28 May with a pop-up treasure trove of local handcrafted creativity.

There’s plenty more on the go, so be sure to visit my What’s On page for more details.

  1. Thanks for the mention, Lana! It’s an exciting month in Cape Town and we cannot wait to see you again at KAMERS/Makers.
