Over the long weekend I got the chance to have a leisurely brekkie at Solo Restaurant on Loop Street. This was my second visit and I’ve been impressed both times. The first time I visited, it was one of those blazing hot summer days and we happily escaped to their atrium which was a wonderful, cool oasis. Second time around we chose to sit at their front window counter and take in the urban buzz.
The interior is simple with a sophisticated feel. I love the raw exposed brick walls and and the art adorning the walls. They share the building with 99 Loop Gallery and so the art constantly changes according to the current exhibition.
Our food was excellent and well presented in a matt black ceramic pan. I’m not fond of being served dishes in actual frying pans but this ceramic version is a whole different story! Good coffee and an attentive, friendly waitress means I’ll certainly be back again.
