The small coastal town of Hermanus is best known for its whale watching but it has so much more to offer… a fabulous wine route, top notch restaurants, natural beauty, outdoor activities and a surprising amount of art galleries. The annual FynArts festival is on the go and so there’s even more to see and do in Hermanus at the moment.

Yesterday I had a lovely walk around the town with my parents who are real art lovers and we popped into all the art galleries which are all decked out for the festival. We saw some incredible artworks on display and I particularly enjoyed the ceramic exhibition at The Windsor Hotel. If you don’t have plans for the long weekend, head out to Hermanus and soak up the culture and art.
