Today’s post is a round up of stunning statement rugs that have caught my eye recently. All available locally… which one to pick?
I love the striking, contemporary feel of these first two handwoven rugs which take inspiration from traditional Ndebele patterns. They are both part of the Imitha collection from The Ninevites.
The next two rugs would be fantastic for a kids room, with their fun lumo designs. These rare Azilal rugs originate from the Azilal region of the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Each rug is unique and has been woven using traditional methods. Available from Woven Green.
The Mainland rug was designed by Sebastian Herkner for The Rug Company and is available in two colourways. The designs feature quadrilateral layers and structures which are inspired by the connections, junctions, overlaps, transits and free spaces within a city. Using a combination of hand knotted Tibetan wool and silk, both designs feature intersecting, intriguing textures in a range of pile heights, giving the rug a graphic, three-dimensional effect.
Brand new to Hertex is the gorgeous Posy Rug with its oversized florals. The rugs are made from 100% polypropylene, which is known for its durable properties and ease of cleaning.
