What’s on… Cape Town carnival, jazz, pop-ups and more

Looks like we’re in for a bumper week ahead here in Cape Town! There are so many exciting events on the go and so I thought I’d do a quick round up for you – don’t miss out!

Andrea Brand is having a Studio Sale starting today from 11 till 2:30pm, Friday 11 – 2:30pm & Saturday 9-12pm. Expect beautiful, unique fabrics, ottomans, scatters, kimonos and more.

LABEL Collections along with some stunning lifestyle, decor & accessory brands will be at the CURATED COLLECTION Pop-Up Shop taking place tomorrow in Tokai. 

On Saturday, The Secret Garden Market is taking place in Constantia. Enjoy a selection of Cape Town’s finest bespoke & artisan crafts, food, homeware, fashion and more. Bring your family, picnic under the old oak & enjoy the music.

The Off the grid festival is taking place once again at Camphill Village. Enjoy fabulous music, great food, beer and wine at this fun-filled family festival not to be missed. Radio Kalahari Orkes, Cape Philharmonic YWE, Steezies, Stone Jets, Kiffness, Bootleggers and DJ Jake WildHeart will all be performing at this event.

The Cape Town Carnival takes place this Saturday evening so head down to the Green Point Fan Walk to join the extravagant parade of costumed performers, musicians and moving floats.

On Sunday afternoon, De Waal Park is the place to be for a free Freshlyground concert. Take a picnic and relax on the lawns, a great way to end the weekend.

Next Wednesday 21 March, you can enjoy Jazz on the Lawn at St Joseph’s Marist College from 11am to 7pm to celebrate Human Rights Day. The lineup features popular South African group MiCasa, SA’s Got Talent winners AnecNote, and 2017 Standard Bank’s Young Jazz Artist Benjamin Jephta, as well as jazz bands and ensembles from schools across the peninsula.

The 5th annual Eco-Film Festival runs from 22 – 30 March and will be showcasing challenging, intriguing and creative film content from SA and across the World highlighting issues that affect us all, whilst introducing participants, filmmakers and audience members to sustainable living choices and lifestyle changes. And lastly the Newlands Spring Market is happening again on the 25th of March. Food, music, brilliant drinks, kids areas plus a doggy day care. They have also added a clothes and crafts section so there’s  something for everyone.
