Green is the colour of growth, the colour of spring, of nature and renewal. Adding green to your home helps to create a sanctuary away from the stresses of modern living, restoring us back to a sense of well being. It’s no wonder this colour is so popular in interiors at the moment and that we are seeing it being reinterpreted in so many ways.
Do you love the idea of a monochromatic green scheme with layers of materials in different shades? Or do you prefer strong green prints and patterns? Or perhaps a more toned down look with just one accent piece? There are so many ways to bring green into your home. I’ve rounded up some eye candy for us, enjoy…
STATEMENT DOORS
Start with the entrance to your home and create a vibrant welcome for your guests.
TEXTILES & DRAPERY
A simple and easy way to add green into your space.
PLANTS
This is how I bring green into my home. I have plenty of indoor plants to add energy and beauty to my space.
FURNITURE & RUGS
Add some key furniture pieces in bold green hues. If budget is tight, why not repaint existing pieces? Add a rug for extra emphasis.
DECOR, ACCESSORIES & ART
Add your accent colour through art, throws, scatters, vases, table linen etc
TILING
Whether it’s floor or wall tiles, in the bathroom or kitchen, green tiles are definitely trending and the options out there are fabulous!
NATURE
Lastly, if you have a beautiful outdoor setting or garden, build in a large floor to ceiling window which acts as a natural frame. All you have to do is take a deep breath and take in the natural beauty.
