When it comes to mornings and getting ready for the day, I’m a no fuss kind of person and like to get ready as quickly as possible. So my makeup routine consists of a dash of foundation and perhaps some eyeshadow and that’s about it. I’ve never bothered to learn how to apply makeup properly and so when Kristina of Make It Bright offered me the opportunity to join her for a private makeup lesson, I jumped at the chance!
I met the lovely Kristina at her studio in town which is also where she runs her courses and classes from. She made me feel very at ease and not embarrassed about my makeup bag or lack of skills. We went through all my products and she gave me advice on what to scrap and what I needed to still get. Then it was on to learning a day and evening look. Who would thought applying makeup was so complex?! Luckily Kristina kept it simple and showed me the basic steps in a very patient way. The lesson is 3 hours long and I learnt so much. It was a great experience and one I’d definitely recommend. Now of course I need to try put it all into practise.
Kristina is professional makeup artist with international experience and is launching her Make It Bright Makeup Academy on the 5th of October. She will be running a variety of courses aimed at aspiring makeup artists who want to learn and achieve their goals in a short amount of time.
Each makeup course includes basic theory and practice which will help you to learn all the tricks of successful makeup application which celebrity makeup artists use. You will be exposed to all of the secrets of the industry and will have access to precious information about perfect application and industry-leading products.
There are still a few spots left for the November course so hop over here for all the course details.

I encourage my clients to explore themselves through the process of makeup. After all, makeup is art – and art is self-expression.
