Is it possible to have too many plants? I’m in the circle, that thinks not! Today’s post is a round up of places to get your plant fix in Cape Town. Yes, of course you can also visit the large plant nurseries but I always enjoy supporting smaller businesses. Do you have any places to add to the list?
Head to the OZCF Market on Saturdays and Sundays and straight to the Folha plant stand. They have a large variety of stunning indoor plants and containers.
For an incredible selection of air plants, you’ll need to visit PoléPolé at The Woodstock Exchange. You’ll also find a quirky mix of decor and jewellery.
Situated next to Deluxe Coffeeworks on Buitenkant Street, lies a tiny shop filled with eclectic decor, vintage pieces, scientific glassware and indoor plants of course. Central is beautifully curated, do go and take a peak.
Plantify on Kloof Nek Road is great spot for indoor plants and baskets and The Green Nursery in Newlands is a peaceful oasis with a large variety of shade loving plants amongst others. You’ll leave wishing you had your own little greenhouse or ‘She Shed’!
Further afield, Afdaksrivier Nursery just outside Hermanus and Aspidistra Nursery outside Stellenbosch are both wonderful spots with chickens and roosters to complete the countryside feel.
